I was contemplating buying mirrors with turns in them and then trying to fabricate something to fit aftermarket driving lights where the stock turns go. Have anyone added and fog/driving lights to their fz's yet?

I wanna say Marthy has,but not 100% on that. Also do you have a HID projector or just a HID bulb/ballast? In wet conditions even my Dodge Rams headlights and fog lights absorb. It's normal in wet conditions on a blacktopped road. I can say with the HID projector visibility is 100x better without a doubt.

Couple of things that played into account for me - full retro fit with projector $300-400 was steep at the time..
$150-$300 for driving lights was doable, but would it give the desired effect? Quite a bit more if I end up doing the retrofit because the driving lights didn’t work out. The only driving lights I had a chance to see work in person were through twisted throttle.
I decided to wait until I had the chance to see a true rabbitman retro fit in person… Thanks to Spawnxx for meeting up with me in Indianapolis so I could do just that…
Let me say that a true projector retrofit will blow away any set of driving lights at night and in any weather… I actually rode next to Spawnxx one evening and his headlight saved us from a herd of 30+ deer that night.
The nice things about the retro fit that is being done by Chad as we speak is that it will draw less power; that means more accessories!

I have been considering adding a LED spot/flood light somewhere on the front forks.

yeah. mine were really low after the swap. few guides on the inet. something like your break point 28 ft away from a wall should be 22 inches ( don't quote me on the numbers)... mine wasnt even on the wall, or maybe an inch or two. world of differenceone question, after you swapped the halogen for HID, did you adjust the headlight? if so what watts are you running? 35? 55?
