HID's not working.. DRL problems?

Just installed a new HID kit.. and it doesnt work. I have tested everything with the kit and it works with 12 V. Stock halogen bulb works.

I just installed side marker LED turn signals also. I was told since these don't use the DRL's that it could mess up the HID.s any ideas?

Anyone know of where to buy the load resistor i would need to put on the side markers to make it work? Here are the side markers.

Here is what you need for your turn signals:

Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Blinker Relay - Plug And Play

As to your HID issue, it is totally un-related to the turn signals. Not sure who told you that, but it is wrong.

What HID "Kit" did you buy? I assume an ebay special? How are you testing it with 12V? Power supply? Motorcycles don't really have a DRL and Regular light, they are just always on. It sounds like there is a poor connection somewhere. I would double check all connection are secure then try. A little more detail would help us to help you.

I actually figured out the flashers last night and installed the relay; they are flashing normally now. However, I cannot figure out the HID still.

The HID kit was an ebay special, but when I directly connect power to the battery it works.

I even swapped in another HID kit and the other kit will not work either.

I am stumped.

Sounds like it's time to test everything in between the battery and the lights.

Did you start the bike...our headlight doesn't kick on until the bike has been started.

Isn't that how it is supposed to be hooked up? Does it use the factory wiring? If it does...you are going to want to be cautious, because they can melt your wiring if it overloads and gets too hot. The cheap ballasts can over draw power and do that.

If you decide you want a quality bi-xenon HID kit let me know. I don't really condone HID bulbs in Halogen housings, but you're going to do what you want. But why not use something that is built well, and has a warranty to cover any issues you would have?
