HDHero2 test on a stock Yamaha FZ6R

A video taken using the new HD Hero2 mounted on my new FZ6R. (Note: This is a 480p recording, so it doesn't do justice to the capabilities of the camera). I'm planning to take this with me on my trip from San Diego to San Francisco -

I'll probably get a charging system set up before that because the cam runs out of power pretty quickly.

Battery life on the HD 2 is not as good as people like. I suggest getting the battery backpack WITH this New Trent Ibattery will give you up to 32 hours constant video recording capabilities. So the options are there.

You can also go for other options such as an off brand battery package like [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-Battery-Charger-AHDBT-001/dp/B005NC8BF6"]Wasabi battery combo[/ame]

The wasabi combo has higher rating than gopro's own batteries and this kit is around $25. You can't beat that. Only thing is the batteries do not fit as tight and would need some added "body fat" in order not to rattle around in there. The mic can pick it up pretty well.

I've got the Wasabi pack, probably recorded about 40-50 hours of video so far and no complaints. Nice having 3 batteries with at least 6 hours of battery to accomodate my big memory card. I haven't had any "rattle" so far

I actually installed a GPS on my bike too (RAM Mount for Garmin Nuvi 1260t - its available for dirt cheap on Amazon for some reason $88 for a $300 GPS).
I needed to keep it charged, so I got a cigarette adapter and connected it to my battery (positive end to the headlight fuse, negative to the battery).

Since the GPS charger is mini-USB, I use it to charge the HD Hero 2 too - works great!
