handel bars

question to throw out there? has anyone experimented with takeing the risers out and lowering the handel bars a few inches?

There are clearance issues: with the tank due to fork angle, with the inside fairing which is 1/2" approx. on full turn from triple tree, and with windshield / mirror position and levers. Geometry of bars is critical as many have less pullback than stock.
