Ok.
So I tried installing my distribution panel and grip heaters today. They worked momentarily and then stopped heating. I checked at the distribution panel and at the heating wires and was only getting about .5 volts. Checking the fuse I saw that it blew the 20A fuse.
I have it wired exactly like they showed for the distribution panel on canyon chasers that was posted up here before.
The grip heaters - I am having a very hard time finding a spot to ground them. I tried putting them on the metal part of the frame where the rearview mirrors anchor into. I am assuming that it not a good ground and thus causing my fuse to blow?
Where is there a spot within decent reach to tie in for a ground?
Or do I want to just route another 14 gauge "black" wire up from my distribution block or battery and tie that in as a ground? If so, how do I tie in 14 guage wire to 2 wires (1 for each grip) that is soo tiny (may 20 or even less guage?
I know there are butt splices but that wouldnt work for such a difference in wire sizes I think? Or do I tie the two small wires together and crimp them in a female connect, and crimp the "ground" from battery to a male connect and connect these wires that way?
