They actually have a competitive bike in that series and someone who's available and not only a great rider, but a hell of a development rider in Hayden to go and promote their bike. The US is Ducati's #1 market focus and getting an American winning again on the world stage on their bike would be a hell of a promotional tool for them. God knows it's not working in MotoGP.
