Caps are not a good solution to anything, they put an additional load on the charging system. The best thing to do is have a second battery.

Remember a cap discharges in a split second, and then has to be recharged. If you have all your electrical updates done, you could potentially use small caps on the power wires to your headlights if they are still dimming.

Regardless whether or not it's worthwhile it does keep my lights from dimming. Works for what I need. I understand what you're saying though. I thought bout getting a second battery just didn't see the need for my system. Maybe my next truck if I can afford some high end goodies.

I hear ya, well a cap will do that, but you could also buy some that are a hybrid like a batcap

I've been considering putting a cap inline on my headlights. I just have not even looked into it at all. Not even sure what kind of cap I would use. One of these days when I have time I'll worry about it more.

Right now I'm supposed to be studying for a chem1 test tomorrow afternoon...
