Gorilla alarm draining battery

I have a gorilla 2 way alarm installed and it drains my battery after a day or two, how do I keep the battery from being drained without unplugging the alarm?

Do you have the alarm connected directly to the battery?

I have it directly connected to battery, I have the 2 way 8017 alarm, as far as the battery tender, I just hook it up when I know I'm not going to use the bike for more than 3 days.

Sounds like you have a bad alarm. My Triumph is notorious for being voltage sensitive and low battery current and I leave my bike with the alarm on for 10 days without any noticeable drain and I have the LED hooked up. I have the same alarm as you do with both hot and ground connected to the battery directly.

Just to add, I don't even have the led hooked up.

Disconnect the alarm. See if the battery still drains in 48 hrs. If so, it's the battery. If not, it's the alarm. Then go from there
