FZ6R_Blue

I'm trading my bike in or selling it during the winter, will be looking at r1 or something similar come spring.

was also looking at the Yamaha Stryker

I can't remember many of your post. How long have you been riding? I think a Liter for a second bikes a little much.

Have you ever rode an R1?

Just make sure you get a blue one

Guy #2 in MN thinking of trading in the FZ6R (just after putting a TBR Pipe on it) in the last week. I get that you can get a killer deal on a shiny new toy just before winter, but in MN you can't ride it all the 6 months that there is ice on the roads. To each their own, but it seems kinda pointless to trade up to a liter bike right before you will not be able to ride it for 6 months. Imagine how out of practice you will be come spring...

Let us know what you decide though, cuz you know we all want pictures of the new bike if you get it!

My buddy has an R1 and i have ridden his, and i also spent about an hour on a hyabusa

I will most likely be going with blue one, but i was offered 4500 for a trade in on my bike. which is what i paid for the bike in the 1st place , yeah i know i have spent a ton on upgrades but anything that i can take off and put back to stock and keep the offer of 4500 i am going to do.

Don't blame you. I too have tried other bikes and the power difference is insane(even between the Fz6r and FZ6 -_-). Good luck, just make sure you are financially sound.

Those are two very different choices, R1 or a Stryker? I can understand about trading/ buying another bike at this time. The deals are out there. I'm driving myself crazy right now. Last week I wanted a 2010 Raven FZ6R with gold wheels. This week I want a FZ8. Pick one and, go for it !

I have never riden an R1. I have put my butt in the seat and they are just too agressive for my taste. I did own a first gen FZ-1. It was a fantastic bike. My friend has a gen 2 FZ-1 and it is more agressive than the gen 1 bike but way more comfortable than the R1. I guess if you don't want to compromise on the suspension or engine the R1 is a good choice. If you want to keep some of the comfort of the FZ6R then look at the FZ-1. I have a friend with a Stryker, totally different zip code there. The best cruisers don't handle very well and it's not going to have much in the way of acceleration compaired to a sport bike. Comfort wise....different story. It depends on what you want to do with the bike I guess. Good luck with your choice. I'd be interested it what you decide to do.
