After my wife passed the MSF class last summer, I hoped she'd be able to take over my 6R, but she dropped it in the driveway backing it out of the garage and couldn't pick it up by herself, so ever since then she hasn't wanted to ride it. Next summer I'll get her a Ninja 300 or something similar to get accustomed to riding.
There is a video somewhere on the web showing a tiny woman lifting a huge BMW of the pavement. It is not the weight vs. strength, it is a proper technique - she made it look easy.
My gf and I took the MSF course together and she's been practicing on coworkers' bikes. Now she wants to ride my 6r (just got it yesterday ). I wonder if she'll be offended if I ask her to wait until I get frame sliders??
She's buying her friend's Ninja 250 - that'll be perfect.
EDIT: She sat on it and was begging me to let her ride it until she *tried* to put the kickstand down, failed because her leg was too short, and proceeded to dismount the bike. Realizing that she was in the process of dropping it she goes "help help HELPHELPHELP" and if I wasn't there to grab it she would have gone down. Next thing she says is "okay, I won't ride it."
