Front and Rear stands?

I'm gonna pick one up now..


Any reason to get both? I'm only doing oil changes, cleaning, and typical maintenance.

Only real reason to buy both is to be able to lift the front wheel off the ground. I like to be able to free spin the front wheel when I do maintenance just to check for tire wear, make sure it is indeed free spinning and not sticking in spots, and to that it doesn't feel like any part is loosening. For winter storage, I plan on keeping it on the stands to prevent flat spots from forming.

I only bought the rear stand.. Is it critical to get a front stand to keep the tires off the floor for winter storage?

I went the less expensive route and got these:

Of coarse they are not as robust as the Pit Bull stands (which are very nice) but they cost almost 2/3rds less.

They support the bike quite well and serve their purpose. Good construction and they will last.
