to begin, i rode my bike yesterday in the rain ( i have been unemployed for 3 months and just got hired so its cheaper to ride my bike than drive the truck) came home, parked her in the garage like normal. well today my girlfriends dad and i were doing a dump run, and oil changes so i had to move my bike back a few inches, maybe thats where the screw came from but aether way there is a screw in my rear tire!!
now, these are the stock tires, they have just over 4k miles on them, the past two owner didn't ride much, so the tires have started to dryrott in-fact i think they started before i purchased my bike, because of this i have been debating replacing them or not but they aren't too bad... would it be worth patching the rear tire? is that safe to do? or should i go ahead and replace my tires?
help would be appreciated, i have heard that patching a motorcycle tire can be dangerous
