F U Chipmunks

so I just finished a good amount of maintenance on my FZ6R and it was sitting for a while (about two months) I changed a wheel and tire assembly and some fairings ..... it was sitting since work was keeping me busy this last months so I barely had time to work on her so when im finally done with all my maintenance I realize a chipmunk had chewed on my one of my fuel bent lines I notice the other was almost intact so I have two hanging my right side on that same bracket I seen online that some have 4 so I want to know before I ride the bike If you only get two lines down the bracket on the right side near the rear brake or if there supposed to be four and that FU%$&&& chipmunk just chew the other two so high up I cant see them anymore. I have a FZ6R black one (not the California one)2011

only two there, and they are just so as the fuel expands (and drips out, sometimes), it drips below the bike instead of all over it.

That's a crazy-azz chipmunk! One line vents the oil, the other the gas tank.

You can just get a line to replace the chewed one, or a gas-impervious coupler, cut the line where it's chewed, insert the coupler and attach a short length of line to get you a few inches below the guide-clamp that holds the two together and points them below the bike.

That must have been one seriously-high rodent when he was done chewing!

I'd imagine it would be just as cheap to simply replace the tubing. As others have said, they're vent lines. When they're sucking air to replace lost fluid, it won't be an issue. However, if they are venting excess fluid because its expanded more than the tank can hold, it's going to drip all over your engine.

That blows. well If I was you id inspet all hoses and wires before you get too far and test that the bike is operating fully at low parking lot speeds before you use it at any decent speeds

you don't want to risk anything when on two wheels! its a big risk we all need to be smart about the risk's we take
