Exhaust mod ?

Hey guys so I found a local guy who says he modded his exhaust by making a 2 inch hole in the exhaust and then welding on an exhaust tip from the local auto store. I haven't heard what it sounds like yet but was curious as to if there was anything negative with this type of mod ? Like possible loss of pressure or etc. looking to get rid of the lawnmower sound.

Hello there

As far as i'm aware you don't lose any significant back pressure with this mod.

I think i remember hearing that some people had issues with the exhaust popping when off throttle which is cured by blanking plates.

It seems to be a pretty good mod really; cheap, easy, and sounds bad ***.

It's also insurance friendly for the most part as my insurers said if it adds no bhp and is purely cosmetic then it won't increase your premium so that's cool.

I say do it. I loved it as a temporary interim upgrade. then I fully upgraded later on loved it even more. but stock is way too quiet. Do it
