I've found that pressing the duct tape on very well (rubbing it down firmly with your finger), then slowly pulling it off at like a sharp 15 degree angle makes it go much quicker, versus lightly sticking it on and quickly re-applying. Also using a new section of tape each time maximizes your efforts.

And yes, for the first part before I filmed (I didn't get much other than the top plastic off cause I didn't heat it up so there was almost all foam junk sitting there), I did lay it on and push it into it, after a couple of pulls, I decided to video it.

No it won't. I used a razor blade and goo gone to remove the sticker from my gas tank and its fine, didn't cause any problems with the finish.

You may have had no issues, but just do a quick google of goo gone and clearcoat, you'll see millions of sites where people did have issues. I would never recommend it that's all I'm saying.

It may not be a definitive destroy of clearcoat, but there's a really good chance to do some damage. I believe another member even scratched his paint a bit using goo gone and left some "hazy" circles where the badges used to be.

Yeah, the duct tape is a little time consuming, but zero chance of damage to paint or clearcoat.

Just use Pure Citus Orange air freshner, I used it on all my decals and it is way better then goo gone and won't harm your clearcoat. Just spray it on a cloth and rub on the glue and it will come off easily. I removed every decal on the bike this way and it was effortless. It also works great if you spray it in your house, it will keep the smell all day long.
