Each tires are different, softer is not always better. Might be different on bike, but on racecars anything above 200F will degrade your tires quickly. Keeping track of tire temp and psi is one of the most critical parameter during practice. Indycars have tires psi sensors hook up to telemetry in direct time. I even used infra red temp sensors in practice over the rear tires... (inside, middle and outside tire temps)
