I saw this on you tube and think for the cost of 2-3 bucks I may give it a try. Granted, the video shows a Hayabusa I would assume this could be done on the FZ6R also.

not a bad idea. Now I just need to find a good set of o-rings that will work with my throttle. I figure I'll get a few of them so if they break I can just put another one on there.

i tried the crampbuster option awhile back but found i didn't like having something that large on the handle. i found it got in my way too often. this o-ring solution i think is better. not sure i'd use it for extended periods on the highway as modifying the throttle in anyway makes me a bit uneasy. if anything i would use it when i am on a long stretch of highway and need to give my hand/arm a break for a minute or two to stretch them out instead of stopping at a rest stop.

Oh my. What a very simplistic and simple solution. Trying to think of a different option than a keyring though, as I dont wanna cause wear marks on my bar ends. Any ideas?

I was thinking of trying something else also however, it needs to be sturdy enough that you can grab it with your glove at ease. Maybe another, smaller O ring?

I'm going to get the rings this week but won't be able to test it for a week or so(snow)...

For the cheap cost I have to try it...

I'm thinking a bright colored nylon tab, like the one on some helmet D rings, so you could easily see it when you need to pull it off.

I tried it on the FZ and it was too loose. So maybe find a local place you can get a couple sizes. I used the Cat 8M4991 o-ring method and did not work. The gap between the grip and the bar end is too much.
