Tear down commenced. Ran into a snag though, can't seem to get to the throttle body intake runner screws. Can anyone confirm the allen key size as 3mm or is it another size? Did get my short V stacks installed (bought a cheap donor airbox on ebay and took the short stacks from it) and opened the bottom of the airbox. V stacks were a pain to get out and get back in.

internal diameter was increased, apart from that and the airbox sensor, they're identical.
Either 2.5mm or 3mm

Thanks, Got tired last night and gave up. Lighting was suck a$$ even with a drop light.
Okay, so I got the throttle bodies off and the valve cover. Now I notice bike won't roll at all. Anyone confirm this as normal. It was in neutral and rolled fine before doing these last steps. I don't see that I could have done anything else to cause this.

Apparently I must have hit the shifter while wrestling the damn valve cover out of its hiding spot. When it didn't move I didn't check, because it didn't roll when clutched. I don't think I was fully in a gear so the clutch didn't disengage. I was sweating all day at work thinking I f'd something up. LOL! Now time to set cams and then take the old ones out.

Got everything apart tonight, but didn't get the new cams in. Tomorrow I should have it back together including short v stacks mod and Airbox mod plus a new map for new cams.
Thanks, haven't had a ton of time to spend each night so I do a little every night. Taking my time. Don't want to mess anything up in there. Marthy has been a HUGE help. I've been blowing up his phone.
Got the cams in and verified timing. Little bit of a pain in the a$$, but not overly difficult. Thanks to Martin (marthy). Just time consuming and tedious. Learned a lot about my bike even with all the mods I already performed. Still got some work to do, but hard part is done.
Finished my FZ6 cam mod, airbox mod, short velocity stack mod, uploaded new map and got bike back together. Took me almost a week of working on it here and there. Could do it in a full day or two. The cam install is easier than the disassembly required. Gonna fire her up tomorrow and maybe a quick spin. Need to top the tank off anyways. Thank you Martin for the parts and all the help. Couldn't have done it without you. Rep coming your way.

Gonna do a little write up on the steps I needed to do in order to complete this mod. Hopefully it will make it easier for someone else doing this mod. One thing to note, Martin had the gears machined for the FZ6R and timed. I just had to strip down the bike and make sure timing marks all lined up. Not an easy task, but easier than using a degree wheel.
