This might be a long shot, but anyone in Anchorage? I'm hoping to meet some people at the MSF course in the next few weeks. I got a couple guys to ride with but it's always nice having some other girls around!

I know Nastybutler and his wife are in Anchorage, and as I recall his wife rides his old FZ6R. Is the snow off yet up there? I know in Nikiski, we could always count on the last of the ice melting off the lakes around May 25th.
There's actually a lot of motorcycles on the road! Can't say I've seen any other FZ6Rs though. The roads have been clear for prob almost a month, but yeah it's usually May when the snow melts. We got lucky this winter. It wasn't bad at all!
I went to the Blessing of the Bikes last weekend (70 degrees and sunny TYVM) and saw over 1000 bikes there. 75% were Harleys and not a single FZ6R. My Street Triple was the only one there too.
But to answer OP's question, my wife and I do live in Anchorage. I just sold the 6R though as she thought it was too heavy. She preferred the Ninja 250 she used in her MSF class. So next year I might get her one. No rush this year since she's still recovering from shattering her ankle a few months ago.
If you're looking for other ladies to ride with, get on meetup.com and look for the local rider group. They post rides just for ladies every so often, but you're welcome to join in any ride that catches your fancy. You can even post some of your own.
