Anyone experience knock with 4 degree advance?

I am wondering if anyone that runs the 4 degree advance has experienced any detonation/knock in hot weather with stock plugs? I know some people use these in the south and most likely ride in higher temps than I do.

Being paranoid (for no reason) I took mine out but am missing the low rpm throttle response so I plan to run some advance again. Debating on filing my own 2 or 3 degree wheel or should I just wack to 4 degree advance on and not worry about it.

I might be wrong but I swear my bike ran 10 degrees cooler with 4 degrees advance 170-180 while riding rather than 180-190 with stock rotor... Thanks!

No. I also run premium fuel.

Me either since putting the 4 degree wheel back on. Bike def. pulls a little better and the main benefit to me is the improved low end throttle response.
