Hey folks,

New member and been doing lots of reading (great site). I was looking to purchase the Driven 17 tooth front sprocket but ran into a snag.

I want to order it from a company here in Canada to reduce shipping costs but they don't have a listing for the FZ6R specifically. There are 3 Yamaha's listed and I was wondering if one would match up. R6 (1998-2010) R1 (1998-2010) FZ1 (2001-2010)

I found CBZDEL's post ( +1 front sprocket review/mini how-to
) where he states that " the package I got says 99-09 R6 520 conversion sprocket, so any 520 R6 front sprocket should fit.." but I called the dealer and they are showing different part numbers for the R6 and the FZ6R. <but oddly enough he said that the FZ6 is the same as the R6>

I would just hate to order the part and get the wrong one when I'm sure there's someone here who knows the answer.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Does the fz6r come stock with a 520 chain? I know the fz6 comes stock with a 530, so I'd think the "R" does too. If it does I'd be looking for a 530 17t

520 stock for the FZ6R.
