I redid the foam and play with it until I was happy (covered with duct tape) then I got it covered by the guy next door... Carbon yellow on top and black on the side. Did the same with the passenger seat.

that looks pretty slick! i'd love to see some close up pics of the seats if you have 'em.

i've heard with the gel seats like Yamaha's FZ6R "comfort seat" that they get very hot because of the gel. have you noticed this with the one you had done at kno place?

As long as there is a couple layers of foam in between the gel and your but you should be good to go without the heat issues, it just all depends on what they decide to do.

makes sense. i'm gonna give The Kno Place a call and see about pricing. I have an Air Hawk R for long trips but would love some more comfort for commuting. i'll make sure to ask where they insert the gel. thanks for the input BoneJj.

i appreciate the suggestion but i already wear armor pants underneath my kevlar jeans. i don't think i have anymore room for another pair of pants

Not at all. I think this is because they put memory foam then the soothing foam on top of the gel.

Just for the hell of it, ask them if they will do a group buy. Say a set price for 5 seats, 10 and maybe 15.

I add high density foam and a gel pad on mine. Also reducing the downward slope help a lot.

I was looking at the tank grips Nasty bought from HT Moto.Good stuff, thanks Nasty

They have a gel pad kit for $30, it comes with a 25"x25" roll of leveling foam and a 8" x 9" x 1/2"gel pad.I think i'm going to do my seat myself as well.
