Anyone know if I have to pull the engine to replace the oil pan?

This has been asked before but I am not finding threads for it for some reason. I have a 2012 FZ6R and I purchased 2005 R6 headers to be able to attach my own slip on. I took off the stock exhaust and went to put the R6 on and its hitting the oil pan. For the people that had this...

Do you think that maybe, instead of heating and bending r6 headers to fit, you could take a hammer and dent them to clear the oil pan? Or maybe use exhaust wrap from an auto parts store?
