Here in socal the cagers don't do so well with the rain. People seem to drive too fast or too slow. I don't mind riding in the rain but it can be a bit scary knowing most people are not looking for motorcycles on the road when it's raining.

Same here. I grew up on the back of my dad's bike. Had my first bike when I was about 8 years old. That probably explains why I prefer to be on 2 wheels and don't think it's the least bit crazy to take my kids for rides.

I was quoted $200-$250. Decided to do it myself. Spent about $100 on a stand, oil/filter, chain lube and some miscellaneous tools. The most satisfying part was not the savings but knowing I did it myself.

Mine touched the engine using the single washer supplied in the kit. I had to add 3 more to it so it wouldn't rest on the engine.

I installed mine over the weekend and I had to add 3 washers in addition to the one supplied for the left side. Not a big deal. The sliders are well worth $39. Many thanks to FZ1inNH for arranging the group buy. :thumbup:
