Go Cruise
I just got a Go Cruise throttle control.
The price was right.
All I need it for is to keep the bike at speed while I slap my leg to get the feeling back in the hand.
Just curious if anyone here has a name for there 6R.
I usually come up with a name or handle to call my rides. Usually some kind of endearing name that represents it's looks, personality or demeanour. It usually takes me a few weeks of contemplation before one finally sticks.
I think I...
The inspection person must have been referring to the clutch cable which is a reasonably simple procedure.
I think your $300 estimate is fair especially if they're replacing the plugs and assuming the material costs are included.
Welcome to the 6R world. If I ride past you on mine next time I'm in Perth I'll give you a wave which is one of the other Perths on the planet. Perth Ontario is nice little town and a great riding destination.
I just received my Venom triple tree stand. Of course it wasn't shipped with a 21mm pin. I called some of the bike parts places in my area. The pin was going to cost half as much as the stand. So I took the 13mm pin (about 1/2" diameter) and long 1/2" socket with the socket barrel diameter...
I just got one as well a few weeks ago coming from a cruiser. Glad to hear the fun has begun. You came to a great place to get info about the 6R and the folks that ride 'em.
I agree that safety is key and when you have no worries about road conditions there is no pucker factor and lets you enjoy the ride knowing the Spyder's nanny will have your back. My only advice is to always have a bike waiting in the wings when you feel the urge to squeeze your nether regions.
I have the Spyder RSS and the 6R. We got the spyder exclusively for 2 up. Even though my ex VTX had a low seat height, I wasn't comfortable with the wife on the back in parking lots and other low speed situations. If I ever had a Monty Python moment with her on the back I would never hear the...
Good to hear your Dad is enjoying it and having fun. Your description of the throttle response mirrors mine. I don't find it too docile though. It's just very predictable and linear. I've always found straight roads boring. As I get older I seem to enjoy the scenery more:)
