I have done a few 6 hour rides on my 6r. I'm sure if you find a solution to the stock seat, it would make an excellent sport tourer! Might advise against on leaving the comfort of the pavement, but Im sure there is quite a bit of trouble you could still get into!

Anybody mount some hard bags for saddlebags on their FZ6R? I don't like the look of a top case, but I want to get some saddle bags for longer trips. I was specifically looking at the Givi bags, but I am not partial to any brand. Waterproof is a must as well. Let me know if you guys have...

I'm using Shogun no cut frame sliders. Haven't tested them yet (hopefully ever) but they seem solid. The left side mounting plate has discolored to a deep purple from the heat though lol

I watched it last night. Sounds like the FZ took the cake to me :cool: . I am a little shocked Honda put out such a buzzy engine though.

I tell people i have an FZ6R and 90% of them go "ooh you have an R6!, my buddy has a ___, you guys should race!"... ugh. I think the 6R is a bit more of an obscure/ less promoted bike in the yami lineup compared to the more famous R6 and R1. A shame, the 6R is such a great beast!

I had the same issue, and still do occasionally. I took the bike into the dealer and they said they could not recreate the problem and blamed it on my inexperience (which I am). I took it home, adjusted the shift lever lower, and raised the seat. It seems better now with a lower shift lever...
