I went on Amazon and found a BBQ cover 2-3 years ago that I use for a cover and it is still as good as new. It's not a motorcycle cover but it's more durable, and although it's for a BBQ, it fits like a glove and looks like it was built for the bike...
I just took a ballpean hammer to my R6 headers for them to clear the oil pan.
I'm not sure what your final plan is but after than I bought a GYTR slip on (can be found on ebay for around $220) then had both the GYTR and headers ceramic coated black so they matched. When it was all said and...
You can do what I did for my exhaust- a GYTR R6 slip on exhaust,$230, R6 header $60 (modify header) and paint it with high heat paint. All for less than $300 and you have a nice exhaust with a slightly bigger ID than a stock header with more flow out the muffler.
I have a little over an 1/8th inch clearance on my header. Before putting the coating it I rode it a few thousand miles to make sure there was enough clearance, you could do that and if you need more then bend it more.
BTW- Anyway you can post up measurements of the internal diameter of the...
Just wanted to but this up with an update. Everything is holding up good including the vinyl wrap on the frame and the ceramic coating on the exhaust. Looks just as good as the day I installed everything :)
Sorry for the late reply fellas, busy with school, work and now in the market to buy a house. Thanks for the props, been working on it a lot lately along with driving it. Doesn't look like it has 22K miles on it but it does.
It a R6 header with a GYTR slip on. If you skipped the ceramic...
Before I did my flush mounts (which are now on the bike with a light coat of VHT) I did the stock lenses with VHT and then wet sanded/polished them. They came out tits, would have kept them on if they didn't stick out so damn far. I also used red VHT on my integrated clear tail then wet...
Got the last of my "winter mods" today, my new license plate. I picked it up from the DMV, washed the bike, lubed the chain then snapped some pictures which are below. Don't know why the color of the vinyl looks that far off, it's maybe 1 shade different.
So far this winter, if you want...
Ceramic coated R6 header with a GYTR, K&N, modded air box and fresh plugs. I figured 13.0 at WOT was a way rich though. Let me pull the actual map tomorrow so you can take a look, should help other members too if they go with an auto tuner.
So, Marthy, I just installed a autotuner and got the map from the PC website. They have my AFR at 13 at WOT and cruising is like 13.5. Should I make some changes to that?
