I picked up my Kawi 636 a couple of weeks ago and besides a stiff neck from
the SS position and cramp from the clutch lever(now adjusted) I haven't had any real issues. Amazing power in at any RPM and handling that gets better the more you push it.
Haven't gone over everything with the meter that is going to be my next step, was just wondering if there was a reset you had to do or anything like that
In the past the fan kicked on at 100 degrees even, now it's not coming on past that, just had it up to 107 and still not coming on. Don't really want to push to flashing
Having problems and thought I'd ask for some help. The cooling fan shut off and wasn't coming on when hot so I took a look through everything and found the fuse was blown. Replaced it with the extra 20 amp fuse and still not working tried a different 20 amp fuse and still no joy. The new fuses...
I've got two pairs. I have a Joe Rocket set for foul weather that cover the bottom of my jacket sleeve, the work well but leave a little to be desired for feel. For summer and warm weather I have a pair of Alpinestars SMX2. great feel and super comfort with a lot of air flow.
Sorry to hear about the crash. If your helmet took some damage you may want to replace that as well or at least have it checked by the manufacturer. It may sound a little extreme but better safe than sorry'
My first riding season has come to end and a few thoughts have come into my brain. First thought is i should have bought a bike years ago, so many miles lost. I can't go back in time so I will continue looking forward.
Total mileage in my first year is 12, 320 kms. I have no idea what that...

How do you call BS on an opinion? I am speaking from my experience and training. I am not an engineer or chemist.
I am the guy who gets out of bed at 2 in the morning because an operator has mixed oils and blown an engine
Everyone has different experience and I respect that. As far as...
As a heavy duty mechanic i have seen the results of synthetic and dino oil up close. If you are going to make the switch I recommend letting the oil drain for at least a day. Any mixture of the two oil types will result in the internal parts and oil galleries becoming plugged with sludge and...
I did 635kms in about 9 and a half hours in one day, all twisting mountain roads lots of rest breaks and almost dropped it in the driveway because my left foot was asleep:canada:
I have the minimum liability through ICBC and the rest with beacon, if your under 30 you can get it as long as you have taken an approved riding course. It is also the only way Beacon will insure a new rider. I pay about the same maybe 20 bucks less
I have the Xena and I love it, I picked it up @ holeshot motorsports in langley, it is small enough to fit under the seat cowl as well. Also super sensitive, hanging your helmet on the grip will set it off
I've had good dealings with yamahasportsplaza in Oregon. They will ship to Canada and it was about 40 bucks tax on a 400 dollar order, the same parts in Canada were about 700, can't complain
