I do not believe chromecast will do XMBC, we looked into it as well, but could be wrong We have XBMC on our computer hooked up to our TV. Haven't had cable in years....heck we even cancelled all netflix and hulu subscriptions because we dont use that either.

and if you have any form of Paid time off, or ability to make up the time, do it and take the MSF course...its something thats worth it and in some places mandatory so if it means rearranging things to get it done, then you know what you gotta do :)
