LOL you guys are horrible... poor guy's just trying to sell his bike, and you guys are pointing potential buyers elsewhere! :(
*bump* to the OP... GLWS!
I just got a notice in the mail from Yamaha corporate, inviting me to get YES. To Ksanbon's point, direct thru Yamaha, it was in the low $600 range for 4 years.
For me, I know that I'll keep the bike less than that; the extended warranty on a Yamaha just doesn't seem worth it to me. YMMV.
Glad you're still with us! After all, who's going to call folks out for not using the search function? :)
All kidding aside, bike & gear are replaceable. You're not! Perhaps health insurance might pick up some of that?
Thanks Jon.
I ground off maybe 1/16" or so (one "tick" on my Stanley tape measure) and even so, it seems a bit loose--you weren't kidding about just a few mils!
About to go out and ride now... damn the hot, humid Southern weather... wished I had a bike when I was still in LA...
Haha! An excellent reason to upgrade... the bike that is... :D
Dang, there are quite a few listings. If that's the case, I might just hang onto the FZ6R for a bit while longer before I change it up. I ... dang, I really would like a S3 or that 1100S! :banghead:
No issues w/ the bushing on my set of levers...
Question though... are you guys sure I can't drill out the brake rod seat on the lever, instead of shortening the brake rod itself???
Glad it's just not me... phew!
I can't get another bike. l'd be shopping around for a replacement spouse if that were the case! I needn't ruffle too many feathers at this point...
I was pretty gung ho about it, then I read a post somewhere on here (sorry, forgot who it was) who mentioned that...
Just like the title says... I can't help but look at Street/Speed Triples and the Monster 1100S! I've had my FZ6R but just under 8mo and 2600mi... hung quite a few parts on it (see sig), but still find myself heavily lusting after those two bikes!
What's wrong with me? :banghead:
Help...
Just need one fork cap... figured it was a $5 part from the dealer, and it's not... :(
Part needed is literally the hex-headed cap on top of the fork.
Please let me know!
I went w/ a 5000K kit and kinda wished I'd gone for the 4300K instead!
Looking more for an "OEM" look rather than a ricey one... too bad replacement bulbs cost damn near as much as the entire kit from DDM!
Dangit, I bought the smoked one that seemed to be the winner, in the wintertime. That one required hacking up and splicing stuff... AND everything blinks faster!
Sigh.
You know, after putting them on, the brake lever side seems to have the same amount of play as the OE levers... Granted, I haven't moved the bike yet, so I'm not sure if there will be any drag on the pads, but it sure seems like stock so far...
Dangit, NOW I see your post about the bushing... I must have read the thread too quickly, ironically TRYING to find it... :banghead:
Thanks again Spunky.
Mine just showed up today; 6 business days! :)
One question tho (and MikeN02 is gonna KILL me for not searching it first)--I got only one brass bushing, not two... that's correct, yea?
