I did my first service on my bike myself. Now almost 2 years later and 15,000+ miles, no issues with the bike. I think you should have no problem yourself if you change the oil and check the torque values of the bike accurately.

There isn't a day in the year that I weather limits seriously limits my riding. When it is "resting" in the garage is by personal choice, driving others or major maintenance, being here in Southern California. So it is my everyday driver. Hence why I get just over 10k miles per year on it.

I've been eyeing the new ninja, even test rode it a week ago. I will definitely go private sell though, as it is in great condition but carries 15,000 miles (24,000kms+) :D

You'll be fine, I rode 70 miles to home at midnight with my dark smoked visor. I had forgotten my clear one, so yes it is fine to ride with a tinted visor at night or early morning, but a clear would help you see potholes and such better.

On average with the higher speed freeway travel I do, I get around 160 miles per tank before fuel light comes up. However, I did chill out with the throttle while riding in a group and got 200 miles until the light came up. So it really depends on how excited you are with the throttle.

Grew up riding on the back of my dad's bike, splitting lanes in traffic and going 70+. So when I got my first bike, rode it home on the freeway with no issues.
