so you got less of the ringing with the gutted version? I had somebody else do the welding, I don't have the tools so it'd likely be about $50 just to try. I'm mainly worried that it would still be there. Cutting so much of the insides doesn't require a re flash though? Bike still runs fine?
Yeah i just cut the tube and left it where its cut. So there is the outer hole and inner tube right next to each other with a 2.5" hole or so. It's weird its the kind of loud where when I accelerate I don't really hear the engine wine / scream it just sort of more... "WOOOOOOO" not "WRRRRRRR"...
Hey guys,
Had a couple of Qs just to see if mine is "normal"
1. How big of a pipe / tip did you weld on and how big is the opening now?
2. What did you do to the original pipe, did you cut it out as much as possible, or just leave it where it was cut off?
Reason for asking is that I...
Can I ask how / what you did with the original tube. Did you leave it where it was cut off, or did you cut more of it off? Also how wide is the new hole? Finally, do you get a ton of low end "drone"? I just did mine yesterday and get really bad ringing in my ear from it lol.
Hmm, I'm starting to think I did something wrong.
It's a weird kind of loud, in the sense that, the volume is almost ok but With my 2.5" pipe the drone the bike now makes in my garage is pretty unbearable, and made worse so by my helmet, i can barely stand next to it without feeling...
Just did this today. Not sure I like it... I'm having some regrets lol. It looks great, but It's ... way louder than I thought it'd be for one. I thought maybe I did something wrong and did not mount the headers back on correctly but i'm pretty sure all the sound is coming from the exhaust. I...
Sweet! I built mine in early 2009 with the first i7. Overclocked to 3.6ghz and it still outperforms a lot of them today. I use it for animation, 3d, video work and gaming. It also has a GTX 260 which was overclocked since day one as well, and I have yet to play a game it can't handle, albeit no...
I'm trying to decide which clip-ons to get, woodcraft with 1.5" risers or apex with 3" risers. Apex seems to be more customizable . My question is which one drops lower? Woodcraft are about 40-50 dollars less. I know a drop is needed for both, and both would go above the triple. Any thoughts?
