I'm in the Houston Area as well. Transplant form Florida recently.

I'm a transplant from West Palm Beach, Fl to Spring, Tx and will have it here soon. I'm up for a meetup and a ride sometime. It'd be nice to find some locals and learn some good roads. Getting rid of the Florida flat spot would be nice as well.

I wasn't ready for a bigger bike. I'll note it is not as fast as my old Suzuki sv650; but I did have a great amount of work done to that bike, GSXR fron forks, 180 wheel conversion,etc. The new Gladius didn't do it for me, Honda didn't have a stand up style 600 cc bike at the time, the Triumph...

Added 300 miles today, got back to my garage, did 2000 mile service after cleaning the bike.:)

After checking the step up above, If you can find or borrow a Volt meter verify the proton's are making a proper ground as well.

Most stock tails actually have a reflective material inside of them. Shine a light at it with it off at night, and you'll see what I'm suggesting. I think this is a trick to give a ticket to anyone who swaps their tails, and does a fender eliminator.

When they botched the paperwork, they took off the prep fee, and gave me the service free, so I lucked out. Bottom line, all i paid for first serivce was materials. And yes i'm that anal i take pictures. you should see what i do when i move into apartements. i've never lost more than $75...

7800 otd is a little high, but its your deal. Is it a brand new 11, or is it a 12? For gear make sure you get stuff that fits with great stitching. I've seena bad stitch give up after a fall. Even Gear manufacturerers miss stuff, dont' believe me check out your closest cycle gear cheap rack.

Florida dreams of 70 and below. We had a week of 40's this year. I got an hour at 42, and wasn't hampered by the temp here, although many locals complained it was too cold.

I dealt with that first dealer service, and although I could have done it myself, I opted to let them do it for the warranty. I also got a discount based ont he fact they messed up my loan paperwork and I had to go resign anyway. I'm not upset with my dealer for things that are obviously out...

I believe the response was it was the most comfortable, but the one that had the best of all three worlds, Comfort, fun factor and acceleration was the ninja. THe fz1 has more power but only in the upper rpm range, which leaves a weakness for on/off throttle in mid to low speed situations...

Nice, i got 240 in yesterday and a first service, Even for Florida at this timeof year, that's great. Sad part is I guess its global warming.
