Are you riding out the wheelie on the Blue FZ? I have the exact same bike but I cant seem to get more than a quick "pop" out of it and only in 1st.

I clutch-up in 1st, but really only ever at a stop sign or light in the middle of nowhere with no one around. Haven't really been able to hold it long but it rides out decently. I picked up a very similar bike 2 months ago. 2009, blue, 7200 miles, etc. The seller was asking $3,600. It needed new tires as well and a few other minor things. I was able to talk him down to $3,300 and I couldn't be happier.

**UPDATE** So I think I fixed the problem. It seemed that the pressure was building up in my brake lines and not being released. When the lever was removed the pressure was then released and I could ride just fine. That got me thinking... The detent that the lever moves must not be releasing...

I will preface this by saying this is my first bike, but I am generally very handy and have no issue working on it. I recently picked up some new shorty brake/clutch levers. Install was a breeze, but I am now having issues with my front brakes. I figured since I needed to bleed the lines...

Well I did some experimenting this afternoon. Had the front and rear on the stands. Spun the front wheel as hard as I could. I could hear the front pads rubbing a bit but nothing like the "hollow churning" noise I normally hear. Pulled the front calipers off and gave the wheel another...

It sounds like the consensus is that its a normal noise, which is reassuring. I went on a 70 mile run around southern CT today and everything ran flawless. Has anyone tried removing the front caliper and going for a short ride around the neighborhood to see if the noise completely goes away...

I took this video today. It doesn't showcase the noise well but you hear the "hollow churning" type noise mostly in the 30-40 mph range here. It is more prominent during the second decelleration. I hear it pretty much 10+ when riding but the phone didn't pick it up well. While taking the video...

Just keep an eye out on craigslist and cycletrader. I almost jumped on a few different options in the 4k range but I held off and just picked up an FZ6R (2009, Blue too :)) for $3300 in a private sale. TBR exhaust on her too!

I will try to get a video or audio recording of it tomorrow. I haven't tried anything with the bike off but I'll give that a shot too. It doesn't sound like a rubbing of brake pads, more of a hollow churning type noise? I don't exactly know how to describe it.
