wow.. you would think I like Yamaha or something
I do professional photography and shoot with a Nikon D300, but since you are not looking for an SLR, my wife uses the exact Canon as above and gets some really good shots. Not to mention the zoom is incredible. We have used it on many vacations and always pleased with the results.
not my cup of tea either... i bought the fz6r because I liked the plastics giving it a sportier look and knocking some of the wind off me commuting to and from work.
Just as another "old" rider... I am 45 and have riden the R6, FZ1 and a Katana 750 the past few years. This is the most comfortable to me of them all. I typically drive 58 miles one way to work and drive my bike 2 or 3 days a week with no problems. Mine is stock except some cosmetic stuff...
You can still find new ones for 4999... so I would ask 4500 knowing you would have to go down from there since a new one would have 0 miles and a full warranty. It will also affect your price depending on how many miles you have on it... good luck. I bought mine used at the beginning of summer...
Welcome, and post pics when you get a chance. I too have many years of riding under my belt and like you went with the FZ6R for a nice commuter. 2500 miles later of commuting this summer I don't have a single regret!
but don't forget Yellow is the fastest...lol And.. it was only available in 2009. Personally I like the yellow because it stands out, but again, you have to choose what will make you smile everytime you look out into the garage and see what is sitting there. Good luck and let us know what you...
