Mate my 2010 had no trouble getting well past those speeds... You do have to get up it all through the rev range though, can't just chuck it in 6th and expect it to pull with the restricted plate on! With a bit of patience and using the revs these bikes (even restricted) can reach speeds that...
Let me know how you go with the gixxer mirrors.. I had to put the stock ones back on, the integrated mirrors I got were terrible for visibility. My height doesn't help (hate being a giant), I couldn't see a think but my boyfriend thought they were ok and he's a bit shorter than me.
Nice pics everyone!! Here's a few more from me and what I've been up to recently :)
Photoshoot with my fave photographer.
Having fun on the mx track :D
Dress up party with my mates and my boyfriend <3
Shooting a gun for the very first time, loved it!!
Yep I was very impressed to reach over 180km/h when my bike was still restricted... Took a lot to reach that speed though, and it was near redline at times. This was not on public roads of course!
I know a guy called AlyTek welding who made several plates, much cheaper than online. Fits perfect and works like a dream! I can pm his number if you.are interested :)
Serious? Far out it's not like that in QLD.. simply do a multi choice test to get your Learners, spend some money on lessons or do a course to prove competency then you have your RE.
RE means you can ride any LAMS bike on your own, no speed limit crap (would have sent me mental only going 80...
Maybe its just an aus thing, but my bike has a sticker saying "protected by Yamaha microdot anti theft tracking". Apparently they hide this little chip in a different spot on each bike and Yamaha can help you locate the bike if stolen. Is this not on US bikes? Mine is a 2010, came with it...
I get the coin noise too, the yamaha dealer told me everything was fine. Owned my bike since new, always serviced on time, the noise has always been there!
