Here in vegas we are going on 50 days in a row with 100+ temps. It's not often that I have to leave my ride parked in the sun but yesterday I saw a Harley with a partial cover made by cycleshades.com (sorry-I don't know how to provide a easy link) Ordered the generic one last night. Will post a...

Watch the video and take a close look at the exhaust system. He was one of us. Condolences to family and friends. RIP
Went head to head with a Harley V-Rod from a red light. Was pretty much even until 85 mph when we had to back off because of a red light up ahead.
We probably would have had another go at it but the Las Vegas Metro officer (on duty and on his Harley) put an end to our fun at that red light.
SOUNDS like a couple of drill bits SOUNDS more affordable for more SOUND than an after market set of pipes SOUND. I agree on the safety aspect. Just SOUNDING off.
The way I see it, this mod isn't about performance but just to increase volume somewhat which I believe is a good idea. The stock system is just too quiet. (My dog doesn't even hear me when I pull up to the house) Want to be heard but not annoying. May try this mod but agree that a hammer is way...
Move to Las Vegas and you wont have to worry about it. In almost 10k miles I still have never had to ride in the rain.:D:D
PS-- Competition Werks f/e is overpriced IMO. Wish I had done more research purchasing that set up.

Did 280 miles yesterday thru Nevada desert with fellow members of Sin City Sportbikes. Temps of about 104. Part of the ride was on the interstate at 6% upgrade for 20+ miles. (there were warning signs for cagers to shut off a/c to prevent overheating) We ran that section at 90+ mph and my engine...
My main concern was that if I pushed it to the point that that I was on my c strip area (about 1/2 inch) that there would be a sudden difference in the amount of traction on that previously unused area of the tire. Will take dart's advice about sandpaper and look into a riding clinic. After...
