Only bad thing is... price increase 8%, thanks to our poor dollar value. That mean the slip-on goes from $200 to $216. ($530.00 to $546.00) Sorry for this price increase (first one in 3.5 years) but it's part of life I guess.

Questions

OK, so I just joined this forum a week ago after buying my '13 Fz6r. I have a couple questions:

Is this exhaust mod strictly to make the bike sound louder/better?

Does it make any performance difference?

If so, has there been any dyno runs or quarter mile/0-60 comparisons to a stock bike to see an real world numbers?

Not just for sound if you get a fuel controller to go along with it (power commander 5 or juice box). I don't think the exhaust by itself raises the HP. Should raise rear wheel hp by 5hp and drop bike weight approximately 10lbs.

Peak HP is up 4-5 HP, pretty much in line with the other exhausts. Where you get the most gain is at mid range and throttle response.

What all is involved with installing the power commander and maps? And other than that and the exhaust is there anything else paired with this that I should get and instal? And is there a preference between the power commander and juice box?

Pretty much plug and play. Only need to splice one wire for speed sensor input if you use Marthy's famous adv gear Rev b map and power/ground. Really simple. Maps are uploaded to the pcv via a laptop. Pcv has more options then the juice box which is why it costs a little more. I think indysuperbikes has it the cheapest.

More advantageous to get the whole package. While you ship your exhaust I ship the PCV and block off plate to you so you can get a head start. There's some nice "how too" on my website, if you need more help I can help you.

Fuel controller is not absolutely necessary but you will get full advantage with it. If you are interested the EJK controller does a fine job too. That's what I have on my FZ09 and it rock! Much cheaper too. Let me know if you have any questions.

Without looking I don't remember offhand where to find the setting. I can look tomorrow unless marthy can help you. I don't recall my values either, but it should be on my laptop. I'll let you know tomorrow when I get a chance to look.
