From what I've read and people I've talked to, the rustoleum brush on can look good, but it takes so much wet sanding and buffing it's hardly worth it. The plastidip worked for me, but I learned a lot so if there's a next time, it will be even better.
I've painted many scooters and a few bikes. The cheap automotive spray paints (even higher quality ones) all start to chip or fade from gas and other chemicals. Next time I want to paint one of my bikes, I'm going to prep it, then take it to a shop and have them paint it. Flex agent in the plastics, hardener in the tank paint to resist gas, and not that expensive, couple hundred bucks for a professional job.
My 2 cents
Yeah I came across that paint method but it seemed like too much work for something that wouldn't last. Just have to save up for the paint job I'd want to get! lol
