Here is the frame I'm building that I will load my bike in the back of the moving truck. As you can see, the front and back boards have nothing connecting the ends of them. Would you recommend that I connect the ends to make a more rigid frame structure??

Thanks for the input!

You should be fine.
I see you have d-rings mounted to strap the front down. Just remember that you don't want to compress the forks too much. Enough to keep it from coming loose, but not to much to blow your fork seals.

I leave my straps in place but loose until right before I leave and loosen them up once I get somewhere. Even if it is already/still loaded.

Thanks for the input folks! The plan is to just put enough tension on the bike to slightly compress the suspension, but nothing too severe. Then once that is done, I will strap the bike side-to-side using the walls of the truck. I think that should provide enough lateral tension to keep her from falling over, but we also plan to box her in nicely.

Thanks guys! I'm excited about the new job.

Here she is in the truck. It's a lot more stable than I was anticipating, so good news there. Once we get more boxes around her, we'll add the side support straps. The straps you see over the faring are not tight. They are just the loose ends tied up out of the way.
