Stressful Times

I got home last night off work at 8 to find out that my moms been laid off from a company she worked with for almost 10 years. Long story short me and my wife are gonna have to try and get a second job or pick up hours at our work now whatever we can to afford rent for her. It seems to be the theme on the forum right now from a lot of people times are tough right now and def mentally challenging when it comes to fiances. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Sorry to hear about your family's situation. Times are definitely tough. Keep spending to a minimum and grab OT if/when possible. Hopefully she gets up and running soon. Keep on keeping on. You know we're all here for you if you need to vent or talk.

I'm always sorry to see people struggle but when there are enough people in this country to vote for someone that shuts down the US coal and oil industry, takes away the basic rights granted us in the US Constitution and decimates the middle class by poisoning the atmosphere for business and promotes the gay lifestyle as normal while increasing food stamp participation to 1/3 of the US population, this is going to happen. Job loss is terrible.
The problem is that there are enough people dumb that believe the lies and re-elect him so that the Marxist policies become law.
I'm really sorry to say that there are millions of people in the same situation and it isn't going to get any better and in fact will get a whole lot worse. This is how a Constitutional Republic becomes a Marxist hellhole run by a Dictator as Russia was run by Stalin and how North Korea is.

I am proud that efforex is trying to pick up the slack and come to his Mother's aid but in reality they will have to consolidate the housing and live together as a second job won't supply the cash needed. There are a lot of families having to consolidate and live together in a 3 or 4 generation housing situation like the Chinese in order to survive these rough times.
And you cannot blame this on Bush.......not after almost 4 years.

The electoral votes of the State of CA, unfortunately, will go to the Democratic party... It's not about politics. And, I'm no fan of Romney either. But, for the sake of our country, I will be hoping that Obama is a single term president. He's a decent guy. He has good intentions & he tried his best. We hoped he would've succeeded- cleaning up the big mess left behind by GWB. But, Obama's best simply wasn't good enough. We are not better off after 4 years, and we can't afford to waste another 4 years letting him find his way. Like Steve Jobs once said, Obama is destined to have a shitty presidency, because his top priority is to be liked by everyone 'first' and being an effective leader 'second.' And, Steve Jobs was a die hard Democrat.
