Puig windscreen

I forgot to mention the cost a bit on the high side-$145. shipped. Anyone interested in this product you can contact Dean of OFD racing - [email protected] He is the ceo. I actually tried to bargain with the price on behalf of the forum and agreed to give 5% off for our members. Just mention when you email him you are part of the www.600cc.org. It will take 6 weeks to get it since it's coming from Spain. That's all folks! feel free to pm me if needed.:)

Got one coming the 5548H model , can't wait .

Did you receive this screen yet? I've been trying to get one but I'm told they won't be available until the end of June.

Ordered the Puig racing screen through North County House of Motorcycles - it came in scratched. Reordered and it didn't fit. The service guy said it was the model for the FZ6. Sounds like a really common mistake. Now it's been two weeks and not sure what's taking so long. I'll place pics when/if I get it.

No not yet , still waiting , has been almost 3 months now .
Keep bugging shop I ordered it from , "Is it here yet?" . :)

So I am trying to decide which Puig to get...the Racing or the Touring? I live in San Diego and when commuting travel approximately 55 miles each way so wind is a factor. Any suggestions appreciated!
That is a tough call can't comment yet on the Puig Touring screen , but will when I receive it , if ever , lol .
I ordered some levers from Hong Kong China got them in a week , but a shield coming from Spain takes months , weird .

BS Motosports in Germany sells the Puig 5548 (touring) and told me it would take approx. 3 weeks. With shipping, it works out to just under $200. Puig USA still says they'll be available in N. America by the end of June. I've got one on order from a Canadian dealer and have my fingers crossed for the end of June.

You should have ordered the Marthy... Can't believe you didn't get your screen already???

OfftheClock got one of mine... End up looking really good, the reviews are good so far...

Look at the Marthy 22" screen thread, there's a pic of him and his cycle...:iconbeer:

I know Marthy , have been following your thread on your shields . ;)
Getting good reviews I see .
Special ordered so no refund , trust me , if I could I would .

Good to know and hope you get yours soon as well .

Mine too is totally blacked out, and I love it. The only problem is trying to find a suitable place to put a camera, now that I can't put it on the handlebars or tank. :don'tknow:

What about one of the mirrors? If they're still stock or even a good majority of the aftermarkets have ample room.

Received my PUIG 5547F Dark Smoke screen yesterday. Haven't ridden with it yet, but here's some pics. I was waiting for the 5548 touring screen, but it's taking forever and the dealer can't guarantee one will be coming in soon. It's still on order, but he found me a racing screen, so I went for it.

Incidentally, Yamaha needs to take a lesson from PUIG. The safety stickers on the PUIG are static, so they come right off with no effort.

My guy told me Puig ships a container in June and then again in Aug. That's it for the year apparently.

Went out today for a few hours - first time with the new screen. It works perfectly. I'm 6'1" and I can now sit upright to about 80MPH, which is when I consider tucking. I used to start to tuck as I approached 60MPH. I did everything from tight twisties to a freeway run up to 100MPH. I'm now thinking maybe I don't need the touring screen. I can cruise at 80MPH without feeling like I'm fighting the wind. I also seem to get more airflow through my helmet. Not sure why that is, but I like it.

I would highly recommend the Puig 5547. It's roughly the same size as the clear Yamaha Double Bubble, but it has a better looking shape (my opinion) and it's available in a variety of tints.

 thanks for the update, I knew youd love it!!!!!! Told ya :D Glad it worked out though bro.

I have recently bought a puig dark smoke for my FZ6R from Surfside moto

Puig 2009-2011 Yamaha FZ6R Racing Windscreen

The Dark Smoke is awesome, its dark enough to give the bike a meaner look but yet easilly to see through during the day. However at night there is reflection from ur speedo and dash appearing on the inside of the windscreen however you can still see through it at night, if your game enought to tuck in at night.

There is a slight bubble in the windscreen and is about an inch taller than stock, i have found little extra protection from the wind though.

Overall a good practical piece that makes the bike appear more agfressive with a bit of practicality.

Update ; Finally got Puig in and love it , fits perfect and stylish as well .
Now for some long rides , perhaps tomorrow and Sunday .
Will post up some shots later today .
Here are some shots , lite smoke tint 5548H :
One shot sucks for focus , used Stainless Steel Screws .
