fastest you've had your fz6r

A buddy of mine works for Cummins. His job is running the dyno either breaking in their engines or doing engine diagnostics. Lets just say they don't baby them on the dyno. Break in can be the difference between running a million miles and having rated power for a long time and not. Break it in how you feel. For those that like to set it and forget it, follow the manual. But there is a better method to this madness.

Took an XJ6 Diversion out for a short test ride at the weekend (which I believe is the Euro version of the FZ6r). Got it up to 120mph before coming up on traffic. Felt like it had more to give as well, I think 130mph would be possible, maybe a tad more.

130 on I-81 at 11,500 rpm. Seemed to stop accelling there. Maybe I need a better tuck.

Well I only have 32 miles on the bike and didn't want to push it but thats where it was at that speed.

No I didn't mean that you should push it, but I remember that when I was going 65 I was at like 6000rpms in 6th. It's probably because the short gearing.

Doesnt make much since to me either, I am pretty sure I am at 4000rpm going 45mph in 6th.. hmmm...

81 mph, freeway. ballz to the wall with a heavy crosswind. I decided not to chance it. Pretty fun tastic as I weigh 250 pounds and it was moving like nobody's business.

So I have about 4500 miles on bike right now, and i opened it up last night on I-94 coming from Kalamazoo to Jackson. I usually cruise back and forth down the highway at about 90. But last night I had it up to 140mph, but i was running at 12000rpms. But I had to see what it could do. But on a side not, i took my buddys Hyabusa for a ride around Michigan International speedway, and had it doing 230mph. He has a turbo on it and a double shot of nitro. That might have been a lil to fast for me, but who am i kidding, it was fun as hell.:rockon:

I dont think they have made one yet, but im not even sure if any manufaturers would make one for this bike.

Same here, a little over 90 MPH, and when I looked down at the speedo I was all like OMG LOL

Me on the Fz6- 115, on my 2nd day riding (not smart at all), when cousin on GSXR took off on a long straight away.
My cousin on the Fz6- 135ish and said it still had a bit more to go.
Now on his GSXR750 while he was riding the FZ, I hit about 100 and then backed off as soon as I realized it, because I seriously only felt like I was going 65. Those bikes can go crazy fast instantly, and it never looks/feels like you are going fast at all.

To many people are posting how fast they have gone with the FZ6 this is for FZ6R only. Would someone please post a video on youtube of a speed run with there FZ6R. I been searching for months on youtube and it's the same lame arse FZ6R videos up. Record the speedodmeter.

Yeah, I think many people do like I did, and just looked on the home page, and posted without paying much attention, good luck though on finding good videos, should be interesting to see if there is much difference between the standard and the R version top speeds.

I'm just curious how fast the FZ6R will go maxed out. I'm still a noob and to scared to try. Hahahahaha.....

Would be nice to see a FZ6R on the German Autobahn, to really max it out.
