Just finished fitting my old Krauser Panniers to my XJ6.

Ive used the K-wing thingys so i can take the panniers on/off with the key (quick release). its a little wider than i wanted but, all being well i can do a bit of touring when i have 2 weeks off over easter.

i used a givi plxr to mount to bike and connected the krauser-wings to the givi rack using steel pipe clamps, i hope yet to buy the correct kappa/givi panniers, but this will do for the minute.

Looks great mate. I'd blank out your plate though, I watched a programme on TV this week about bad people cloning bikes seen on the web for use in crimes. Scary.

nICE WOrK Pilningas !all set for adventure, gonna B a good year ! ;)
i hope so, this bike has all the makings of a good all-round tourer. i have 6 weeks off in the summer - i could really go for a trip to the asian part of turkey or north africa. Love the simplicity of design of this bike and the fact everybody who has seen it has complement the styling of it.

Do you plan to do any touring on yours Jim?

Not planning anything 'exotic' this year, will definitely be touring more of bonnie Scotland and may venture over Hadrians wall a couple of times B4 autumn leaves fall again :)

Video of LED lighting fitted to the 'wing-rack'

I have finished this luggage now and have replaced the god-awful krauser indicator lenses with a pair of one-off light clusters that i made in work (i'm a shop teacher):

I'm pretty happy with the results - looks almost OEM.

btw, i planned to embed this video but couldn't figure it out!!!!!!

Looks good. Soon I'll be shopping for side cases myself. I want the Givi V35 or E41, but my budget doesn't agree with that :))
cheers Heineken,

kappa K33s are also the same as the givi v35:

Kappa K33N NEW STYLE Panniers for PLX/KLX RACKS - £233.83 - Motorbikes and Parts - Givi / Kappa Motorcycle Luggage Specialists - kappa-k33n-new-style-panniers-for-plxklx-racks-p-11078.html

the rack i actually have is the givi plxr for the xj6/fz6r, but as i already had these side-cases, i just fitted the krauser wing-rack to the plxr frame. A lash-up, but it works!!!
