So I recently dropped my bike on a corner and I need to replace the crankcase cover but I'm having trouble finding any decent information on it (I've looked through the service manual).

From what I can tell I just need to drain all the engine oil, take all the bolts out and switch it with the new one? The only thing that concerns me is I can see threaded holes on the inside of the new cover, do I need to remove anything else first or is it safe to pull out whatever is attached to the cover?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Posted in the wrong sub forum, could someone move this to technical? Thanks.

Double check the part numbers against each other
If they match you should be all good to go
-I don't know for certain but if there was nothing attached internally when you removed your original casing...

The parts are exactly the same, that's not a problem. I haven't removed the current cover yet, I wanted to know if I would break anything before pulling it off.

Google the parts catalogue
the exploded axo drawings show how/ where things go (not order of assembly though)
that may assist you further
