Wiring question

All, not sure if this is the right section, but thought I'd start here. Been going over the FZ so I can become familiar with how it's put together, etc, and came across some wiring that didn't look wrong, but didn't really look quite right. The first picture is looking down from the right handlebar towards the triple clamp and the second is looking just underneath the left handlebar. You can see the wiring going into each plug (not sure if that's the right term) but I honestly can't tell if it's right. And by "right" I mean it looks like the sheathing on the wire should be closer to, or even inserted into, the plug.

But, I have been wrong before. And sorry for the rotated pictures. For some reason, the forum rotates them when I post...

It is just a cover sheathing. This keeps the wires together and semi protected. Don't worry about it.

To add to what they said that's called heat shrink, it's used in numerous different applications wether it be in place of electrical tape or in this case to keep all the wires nice and bundled while adding protection,

Yeah. Mine's the same. The wires are already protected by their own sheathing. The main point of the heat shrink is to keep the bundle of cables together as if one cord.
