So mine was nice. Wife made breakfast for me. Then my boys, wife and I went to a small car show and had lunch up valley. Then when we got home...I got to play with my bike! I rotated the handle bar risers forward which feels a little more comfy(don't know why I waited so long), I changed my oil and filter (went with the Rotella 15w-40 full synthetic and Purolator filter), and finished taking off the decals on my swing arm. I was just about to do the exhaust mod tip, but it's getting late and I wanted more time so as to not rush. Only thing I missed was taking a ride....but I'll do that all week to work!

Have to say....I love my family.

My kids took me to a car show also. We toured the Blackhawk car museum in Danville. They had a show outside in the parking lot as well. Lunch with the kids, dinner with the spouse, and I didn't have to put out any cash all day, it was a good day.

Early this morning, hooked up with a few other Dads and went for a 175 mile ride in the Northern California mountains. 3 counties (Shasta, Trinity, and Tehama) and had an awesome time. No pressure, wife did not ask when I would be home, just said, "Have fun, see ya when you get home." This meant so much. I couldn't wait to get home and tell her all about it. A late lunch was waiting as was a cold 6-pak of Samuel Adams Summerfest. My son and I played kickball the rest of the afternoon and we all just had fun. A great day.

I spent Friday night showing the bike at an impromptu car and bike show with my son. Saturday and Sunday, my son and I spent at a MSF course, so my son could get his endorsement. Needless to say, we had a blast and learned tons! I enjoyed just riding and learning how to be safe. I roasted my tire balls off in the 95 degree heat, and pushed the little 1991 Honda Nighthawk 250 to its capacity....LOL It was a great weekend though.

I went out to breakfast with a bunch of folks and then we went and road some southern-Wisconsin roads for several hours until one of our riders discovered a slight rear tire problem... :(

So we rode back to our buddy's place and swapped out the tire for a new one... good times!! :D

Yeah...That's just the "wear indicator". :D:D:D

rode back home to my parents house 150 miles each way, only to discover a shiny motorcycle sitting in their garage.
my dad had a few back in the 70's and 80's and my purchase last august got him thinking about it again.

he found an 05 vulcan classic with 1500 miles on it that looks brand new.
