When I put my 09 fz6r into gear and hold the clutch in and I'm off the bike the bike is engaging a little bit. What do I need to adjust or do?

Have the clutch lever play adjusted.

Agree with JT. Probably have clutch cable too tight. Make sure freeplay is 1/4"-3/8". You have to keep it in that range or you'll have problems. I did the same thing when I changed my levers. I didn't want the extra slop so I adjusted it to take up all the slack. Well bike would start creeping even with clutch pulled in. Make sure you measure from the end of the lever. It's the lever movement before the cable moves.
