What are my options for changing mirrors?

Howdy folks. I really want to get the stock mirrors swapped out with something else. I've never changed mirrors before so I don't have a great understanding of it. Are they all interchangeable (thread wise)? I'm actually missing my Ninja mirrors. Thanks.

here is a recent thread with some options. Be prepared to sacrifice some visability if you want to get something a lot different. one thing about the stocks is I can see someone in the left lane behind me looking in the right mirror they have such good vis.

I put a set of ZX6R mirrors on mine... You just have to tuck your elbow a little! Looks better IMO... Lowers the ears a little!

here is a pict of mine with generic ebay turn signal indicator mirrors on one side, and gsxr mirror on the other side.
