I'm actually considering a trailer dolly setup to ride 2 up and tow the 6R on the longer, least enjoyable parts and unleash her in the really fun places.

Wouldn't that hurt your MPG's and defeat the purpose? What's the range on the FJR? The 6R should be good for 200 miles between fillups, which seems pretty good to me. :don'tknow:

While towing definitely would effect the range on the FJR, I can get over 300 miles now.
I have yet to get much more than 150 out of the FZ6R.

Try putting a +1 tooth front sprocket on. Will help lower the RPM when you're cruising. You should be able to get about 50 MPG with these bikes. With a 4.6 gallon tank that works out to 230 miles. If you're pushing hard and the MPG's drop down to 45 that's still 207 miles on a tank. No one want's to cut it that close, but once the F Trip goes on, you've got a gallon of fuel left, which should get you 40 miles without too much stress.
